Dr. Matthew MacGinnis- Board-Certified Orthodontist

* When I was a child, I thought I would grow up to be: an Orthodontist
* On my DVR you would find: USC Football, Sesame Street, Bob the Builder
* I never leave the house without: my underwear
* To satisfy my sweet tooth I eat: cookies and cream & mint chip ice cream blended by hand with milk
* I take my coffee: practically white with creamer
* Something that always makes me smile: my kids
* Best gift I ever received: my salvation
* If I had a superpower it would be: x-ray visions so I wouldn’t have to take x-rays

Dr. MacGinnis attended the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry, where he studied four years of dentistry graduating magna cum laude. He then was accepted to the nationally recognized University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Orthodontics Residency Program, where he received an additional three years of orthodontic training. While at UCLA, Dr. MacGinnis served as the chief resident and received numerous accolades and awards both for his skills as a clinician and leader, his clinical research and for his ability to think critically.

Dr. MacGinnis was born and raised in Orange, CA, and attended Villa Park High School. At Villa Park, he captained the varsity basketball team and was honored with 1st team all Orange County honors in his Junior and Senior season. Interestingly, he recently had his #22 basketball jersey retired. He went on to attend Point Loma Nazarene University on a basketball scholarship.
